Senior Town Planning Consultant
Following a period of expansion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to work in our multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of viable and environmentally sustainable solutions for our clients on a variety of development projects, strategies and various studies. The nature of the work is varied, challenging and rewarding.

The Role Specifics
- Managing medium to large scale projects from inception to completion including interaction with project stakeholders, clients, and other project team members, both internal and external
- Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and external consultants • Preparing fee proposals and management of project budget
- Liaising with County Councils, An Bord Pleanála and other statutory bodies as required
- Actively participating and promoting the Company at all client engagement points and across formal social media forums as part of business development activities
- Lead multi-disciplinary design team meetings
- Conduct research and planning, economic analysis and environmental assessments
- Prepare planning and socio-economic statements and feasibility studies
- Lead multi-disciplinary design team meetings
- Work with and guide/mentor junior staff members so that they learn and develop their career
Seeking candidates with
- A minimum of 10 years’ post -graduate professional experience in the private/public sector
- Level 8 or Level 9 qualification in Planning & Sustainable Development
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IPI, RTPI, SCSI or international equivalent)
- Comprehensive knowledge of planning law policy and practice in Ireland
- Highly organised, actively demonstrates awareness of critical dates and ensures adherence to deadlines
- Demonstrates a good understanding of planning risks associated with their projects and provides options for reducing risk and considers this when decision making
- Self-motivation and a pragmatic and solutions driven approach
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent report writing skills
- Rigorous analytical abilities in identifying planning constraints
- Ability to interpret environmental reports and data
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work within multi-disciplinary team with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, willing and able to motivate others
- Ability to prepare professional quality reports in MS Word and excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Powerpoint
- GIS skills qualification and a proven track record in application across a variety of projects
- A background / qualification in economics.

Town Planner

The Role Specifics
- Writing planning reports and planning applications for Planning Authorities,
- Prepare, submit and negotiate planning applications of all sizes
- Liaise with clients, planning authorities, statutory bodies and other design team members
- Conduct research and planning, economic analysis and environmental assessment
- Prepare planning and socio-economic statements
- Analyse planning policy and make recommendations to clients and colleagues
Seeking candidates with
- A passion for planning and learning
- From 2 years + post -graduate experience in the private/public sector
- Experience of administration, report writing and ability to write a researched and reasoned assessment or recommendation
- Pursuing or obtained professional membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IPI, RTPI, SCSI)
- Self-motivation and a pragmatic and solutions driven approach, capacity to make decisions • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent report writing skills
- Rigorous analytical abilities
- Knowledge of planning law policy and practice in Ireland across the areas of forward planning, development management
- Ability to interpret environmental reports and data
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good organisational and coordinating skills, multi-task different projects and activities
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, willing and able to motivate others
- Ability to work within multi-disciplinary team and meet strict deadlines
- Good MS office skills Word, Excel and Powerpoint. GIS skills would also be an asset.
