Navan Local Area Plan
The Practice was commissioned by Navan Co-Ownership Ltd to prepare a Local Area Plan for 36.6ha of lands earmarked for the expansion of the Navan Town Centre. The Local Area Plan sets out a vision for the expansion, proposing a mixed development of offices, retail, entertainment, culture and residential uses. It defines options for the location of the proposed public interchange and ensures the integration between land use and transportation policy, as well as encourage a shift to pedestrian, cycle and public transport.
MacCabe Durney Barnes prepared the draft plan and submitted it to Meath County Council, which later adopted it.
