Residential Development at Diswellstown
The practice was commissioned with O’Mahony Pike Architects by Viscount Securities to secure planning permission for a large residential development of mixed housing and apartments, also including retail and community facilities. The 538-unit development was accompanied by c. 2.92ha of public open space with five local shops. The lands of c.14ha are laid out around protected structure, Diswellstown House.
MacCabe Durney Barnes prepared and coordinated both the Environmental Impact Statement and the planning applications. The development was granted planning permission after An Bord Pleanála dismissed a third party appeal.
