Tara Street Station Redevelopment

The practice was appointed by the CIE to advise the State Company and the design team in the preparation and submission of the Strategic Infrastructure Development application for the redevelopment of the Tara Street Station. The development included a 12m high station concourse at its focal point with the capacity to cater for 14,500 passengers per hour at peak time and a 8,400 sqm office space reaching an overall height of 49.1m, nine stories of office development over a three-storey high concourse.

MacCabe Durney Barnes worked closely with the client and other consultants in providing planning consultancy advice for the application, presenting evidence at the oral hearing and securing planning permission for the SID application.
