Assessment of Exempted Usages under Section 114 of the MAP Act 2021

MacCabe Durney Barnes was commissioned with ABPmer by the Marine Institute to undertake the assessment of exempted marine usages under the section 114 of the Maritime Area Planning Act 2021. This research project investigates how other jurisdictions implemented exempted development processes for certain maritime usages. This project will inform the new marine licensing regime to be delivered by the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority, which is responsible for assessing applications for consents in the maritime area.
