CIRAN

CIRAN is a project funded under Horizon Europe, the research and innovation programme of the European Union. The goal of CIRAN is to identify processes that enable balancing economic stability and critical raw materials (CRM) supply security with social well-being and environmental conservation priorities across the EU> The aim is to create a policy framework for responsible domestic mining that aligns with the European strategic objectives while being cognisant of social and environmental constraints locally. MacCabe Durney Barnes forms part of a pan-European consortium and leads Work Package 3 which investigates the fitness for purpose of the regulatory framework.
