Supporting the Reform of Marine Management in Ireland

This project was funded by DG Reform under the Technical Support Instrument with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH) as beneficiary. The objective was to support the Department in the development of a single-point of entry system for applicants to interact with public authorities when seeking consent for maritime developments. It considered the streamlining of administrative procedures to support the implementation of the Maritime Spatial Planning Directive and the Renewable Energy Directive. It also investigates tools and procedures in other European nations and considered the use of digital tools. MacCabe Durney Barnes acted as the Technical Lead for the project.
