Community Facilities Planning Toolkit

MacCabe Durney Barnes was commissioned by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown to prepare a Community Facilities Planning Toolkit. The toolkit builds on contemporary trends relating to community facility provision and develop a set of principles and recommended policies for County Development Plans and Local Area Plans to guide the planning of community, cultural and civic facilities. It sets a facility hierarchy to support planning and delivery of future community facilities and establishes standards of provision. As the toolkit straddles all stages from planning to delivery, it also proposes different models of provision.
