Limerick Prison Redevelopment

The practice was commissioned with Rogerson Reddan by the Irish Prison Service on behalf of the Minister for Justice and Equality in relation to the redevelopment and expansion of Limerick Prison, a protected structure. The development comprises a new 150-person cell block and a facility for 58 female prisoners. It also includes the modernisation and completion of the A and B wings.

MacCabe Durney Barnes provided planning consultancy services and advice to the State Authority and undertook the coordination and preparation of the Part 9 procedure. The practice also prepared applications for determination from An Bord Pleanála regarding Environmental Impact Statements and Natura Impact Statements.
